The department of Urology at AIIMS Raipur was started in July 2018. The department provides a whole range of comprehensive and efficient services for the management of urological problems.With our complete range of state-of-the-art facilities, the department performs minimally invasive procedures for stone diseases, endo-urology, uro-oncology, female urology, complex urological reconstructive procedures, trans-rectal ultrasound and biopsy of prostate.At present, it is the only centre in government set-up which provides laparoscopic radical cystectomy with neo-bladder reconstruction, laparoscopic radical prostatectomy and laparoscopic partial nephrectomy for various urological malignancies. The department

provides complex reconstructive surgeries for various congenital and acquired urological anomalies including surgeries for pelvi-ureteric junction obstruction, vesico-ureteric reflex, urethroplasty, surgeries for neurogenic bladder Special clinics are organized into:

Urinary Stone clinic (kidney, ureter, urinary bladder)
Uro-oncology (malignancies of kidney, ureter, bladder, prostate, penis, testes)
Female urology and incontinence
Pediatric urology

Mch residency program in urology has been approved from the year 2020. In near future, the department is going to start renal transplant.The department of Urology has 30 bedded indoor facility at 3 rd floor C block of Hospital Building.The department has 2 modular operation theatres in B BLOCK Super-specialty operation theater complex.

The Department provides OPD Services on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
