It is a matter of immense pride and privilege that AIIMS Raipur celebrates its Third Convocation on 2nd September 2026. A convocation is much more than a ceremonial conferment of degrees; it is a celebration of perseverance, achievement and the transformative power of education. It marks an important milestone in the lives of our graduates and reflects the collective commitment of our faculty, staff and stakeholders towards excellence in education, research, innovation and patient care. It is a matter of immense pride and privilege that AIIMS Raipur celebrates its Third Convocation on 2nd September 2026. A convocation is much more than a ceremonial conferment of degrees; it is a celebration of perseverance, achievement and the transformative power of education. It marks an important milestone in the lives of our graduates and reflects the collective commitment of our faculty, staff and stakeholders towards excellence in education, research, innovation and patient care. The period since our Second Convocation has been one of remarkable growth and accomplishment. AIIMS Raipur advanced to the 31st position in the NIRF 2025 Medical Rankings, improving from 38th in 2024, reaffirming its emergence as one of the country's leading medical institutions. The Institute has become a national leader in healthcare innovation and technology-driven patient care. The launch of 'Dev Hast', Central India's first government-sector robotic surgery programme, marked a major milestone in advanced clinical care, while the establishment of the AI Lab and Deployment Centre under the SRIJAN initiative reflected our vision of integrating artificial intelligence into healthcare delivery, education and research. We also expanded specialised clinical services, strengthened diagnostic excellence through accreditation and quality initiatives, and introduced innovative public-health interventions — including the Bharat Kosh-supported emergency medical supply airdrop initiative — to improve healthcare access in remote and underserved areas. Established under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY), AIIMS Raipur continues to evolve as a centre of excellence in healthcare, education and research, while remaining steadfast in its mission of delivering accessible, affordable and high-quality healthcare to the people of Chhattisgarh and neighbouring states. The Institute has increasingly embraced innovation, digital transformation, advanced technologies and multidisciplinary collaboration to address contemporary healthcare challenges and improve patient outcomes. These achievements would not have been possible without the unwavering dedication of our faculty, residents, nursing officers, students, administrative officers and staff. Their commitment, professionalism and spirit of service continue to strengthen the institution and uphold the values that define AIIMS Raipur. To the graduating students of DM/MCh, MD/MS/MDS, MBBS, M.Sc., B.Sc. (Hons) Nursing, MPH, Paramedical and Allied Health Sciences programmes, I extend my heartfelt congratulations. As you embark on the next chapter of your professional journey, carry forward the values of compassion, integrity, excellence and service that AIIMS Raipur has sought to instil in you, and uphold the noble traditions of the healthcare profession.
