Clinical Services

The OPD services started on 25/05/2018. Subsequently, inpatient services were started from 04/08/2018. The department provides specialized services for management of a wide spectrum of disorders of the endocrine system in adults as well as children, including-

• Diabetes- type 1 diabetes, type 2 diabetes, gestational diabetes etc.
• Thyroid disorders- hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, goiter, thyroid nodule or cancer, etc
• Pituitary disorders- deficiency of pituitary hormones, pituitary adenoma / tumor, etc.
• Disorders of adrenal gland- Cushing syndrome, adrenal insufficiency, adrenal adenoma / tumor, etc.
• Youth onset / endocrine hypertension
• Male reproductive disorders- erectile dysfunction, infertility, gynecomastia
• Female reproductive disorders- menstrual irregularities, infertility, galactorrhea, hirsuitism, etc.
• Disorders of sex development- genital ambiguity, etc.
• Disorders of puberty- early or delayed puberty
• Disorders of growth- short stature, etc.
  • Metabolic bone disorders- Vitamin D related disorders, Calcium related disorders like hypercalcemia or hypercalcemia, osteoporosis, rickets / osteomalacia, disorders of parathyroid gland, recurrent kidney stones, etc.
• Disorders of parathyroid gland- hyperparathyroidism, hypoparathyroidism, parathyroid adenoma / tumor, etc.
• Obesity
• Hyperlipidemia
• Hypoglycemia
• Neuroendocrine tumor
• Transgender medicine.

Diagnostic Facilities

• The department provides facility for DEXA scan for testing of bone mineral density. The facility was inaugurated on 20/10/2021.

• The department of Endocrinology offers advanced hormonal evaluation and dynamic testing for various endocrine and metabolism disorders.

Academics and Research

• The department also actively pursues academics & promotes advanced research in the field of Endocrinology.
• The department also provides the 3 years DM Endocrinology course for superspeciality training of post doctoral trainees in the field of Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism.
