A REPORT ON PUBLIC AWARENESS PROGRAMME ON WORLD SUICIDE

With prior intimation and permission from the competent authority, AIIMS Raipur, an awareness programme on world suicidal day-2024 was organized by the Department of Mental health nursing, College of nursing. A psycho-drama under the theme: Changing the Narrative on Suicide was conducted at Dome –C (registration area) on 10/09/24, at 8:30 am – 10 am. It was held as a part of a creating awareness
campaign among public on the World Suicide Prevention day. There was an active participation from the audience during the session. An address was given by Mrs.Chandramani Sahu on prevention of Suicide in regional language after the Psycho-drama. The B.Sc. Nursing 3 rd year students and M.Sc (Psychiatric Nursing)- 2023 and 2024 batch have been taken part in making the programme success. A positive feedback was received from the audience and the program concluded with a vote of thanks. Dr. J.Jeayareka Assistant professor, rs.Suganya P Lecturer, Mrs. Chandramani Sahu and Ms. C Cuny Hung, Nursing tutor were co-coordinating the event.
