Monitoring Centre established in 2015 in the Department of Pharmacology, plays a pivotal role in promoting drugsafety. This year’s theme, “Building ADR Reporting Culture for Patient Safety,” was highlighted through a series of
educational, awareness, and outreach programs.The week began with a hybrid CME on patient safety, inaugurated by Lt Gen Ashok Jindal (Retd.), Executive Director &CEO, AIIMS Raipur. Speakers addressed topics such as pharmacovigilance, materiovigilance, healthcare waste management, and surgical safety. Faculty and residents conducted awareness sessions for healthcare professionals and students at local hospitals and universities, including Ramakrishna Care Hospital, Kalinga University, and Royal College of Pharmacy. Public interactions sessions were also held at various locations to raise awareness.The week concluded with a CME for AIIMS Raipur’s residents and faculty under the guidance of AMC coordinator Dr.Nitin R Gaikwad, Professor and Head, and Deputy coordinator Dr. Pugazhenthan Thangaraju, Associate Professor, Department of Pharmacology. CME included lectures and panel discussion followed by prize distribution for essay and e-poster competition winners. AIIMS Raipur continues to prioritize patient safety through ADR monitoring.
