CNE on Nurse Led Heart Failure Management programme was conducted 18/12/2019 by CON, AIIMS Raipur. The programme was stated with welcome address by Dr. Binu Mathew Asst. Prof, CON AIIMS Raipur. Key address by Prof Dr. Karan Peepre Medical Superintendent, AIIMS Raipur. Chief guest of the CNE was Prof. (Dr.) Nitin M. Nagarkar, Director, AIIMS Raipur. Introduction to nurse led heart failure management programme was given by Mrs. J. Jeayareka, Asst. prof. CON, AIIMS Raipur. Dr. L. Gopichandran, Associate Professor, CON, AIIMS, Delhi was the resource person. He presented on Hearth failure and its assessment and management with current updates and Heart failure services at AIIMS (Delhi) and Nurse Led heart failure and management at AIIMS, Delhi. Rehabilitation Programme for heart failure patient was presented by Dr. Mukesh Kumar Yadav, Asst. Prof, Department of Cardiology, AIIMS, Raipur. CNE focused on enhancing the quality of life of patient living with heart failure and compromised cardiac function and the responsibility of the significant care takers and health professionals specially Nurses who can play a very key and vital role. There is five time decrease in the hospital readmission with an effective nurses led heart failure clinic and symptoms like depression, anxiety, fatigue and pain can be well managed in these clinics by nurses especially in countries like India where there is lack of health man power. The programme was completed with vote of thanks given by Mr. Rajendar Singh, Nursing Tutor CON AIIMS, Raipur. The programme was organized by Department of Medical surgical Nursing, CON, AIIMS, Raipur. Total no. of participants benefited by the CNE were 210 members from CON and AIIMS Raipur hospital.
